Summer is officially here, and it's our 15th anniversary of camp!


Although most sessions are on a waitlist, you can find a rundown of openings below with descriptions.

On site nature camp sessions, ages 5-10 — All sessions have at least 2 open spots until mid-July! Each session includes water fun and water slide days, plus playground time, games, and more. Every day brings hands-on adventures! Drop-off is from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and pickup is from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.


  • Georgia Wildlife. Explore the amazing animals that call our state home—from black bears to butterflies, sea turtles to snakes!


    • 🐍 Meet a real snake up close then craft your own slithering cork snake buddy to take home! 

    • 🦋 Race through the butterfly life cycle in a fast-paced relay and make a mini moth model to learn about these fluttering pollinators.

    • 🕵️‍♂️ Play wild nature games that reveal the secrets of camouflage, food chains, animal survival strategies, and more.

    • 💩 Learn how scientists study wildlife signs, and make edible animal scat — it’s science you can snack on (pretzels and tootsie rolls included!) 

    • 🐻 Craft black bear bookmarks and other wild animal creations inspired by Georgia’s native species.

    • 🐢 Explore the world of sea turtles, including the five amazing species that can be found at Georgia's coast.

    • 🌿 Take a nature walk to spot wildlife in action, from the forest floor to the treetops above.

    • 🐚 Make a seashell book, test your knowledge in sea star trivia, and dive into even more coastal critter fun!


  • Georgia Habitats. Roam through the wild worlds of Georgia's forests, mountains, rivers, caves, and coral reefs to discover the animals, plants, and landforms that make our state so unique!


    • 🪸 Paint a coral reef with watercolors and learn about the cool invertebrates that call Gray’s Reef home.

    • ⛰️ Sculpt Georgia’s landforms in clay, simulate river systems with a paint pour, and design your own habitat!

    • 🍄 Go on a habitat scavenger hunt to uncover plants, fungi, algae and more hiding around camp.

    • 🪱 Do a critter crawl to search under logs for worms, beetles, and other important decomposers.

    • 🦇 Use your senses like a bat in a cave or moth in a forest with an echolocation game. 

    • 🐺 Try to cross a “steep mountain” and learn about clever coyotes and how they adapt.

    • 🐌 Discover how invasive snails change ecosystems and what we can do to help protect native species.

    • 🐢 Experience nature’s teamwork by learning about symbiosis and help care for our camp habitat, including feeding and observing our tortoise, corn snake, and chickens, plus so much more!


  • Georgia Geology. Get ready to dig deep, get messy, and uncover the epic stories hidden under our feet as campers learn all about rocks, soil, erosion, fossils, volcanoes, and more.


    • 🪱 Stretch, squish, and snack your way through the layers of Earth! Start with ooey-gooey soil slime to explore what’s just beneath our feet, then dig deeper and build a tasty, edible model of Earth’s layers.

    • 🧤 Unearth the past in a real paleontology dig—carefully brush away "dirt" to uncover fossils and ancient secrets buried below.

    • 🔥 Feel the heat in our volcano demo! Watch a model volcano erupt and discover how igneous rocks are formed through fiery explosions and molten magic.

    • 🪨 Play the Soil is Lava game to learn why sticking to the trail matters—help prevent erosion and protect the delicate surface of the Earth with every step.

    • 🔍 Become a rock detective! Examine dazzling gems and minerals, learn to spot fool’s gold, and decorate your own rock-collecting tin to take home your top finds.

    • 🧪 Grow your own crystals in a hands-on experiment and see how time, water, and minerals work together to create nature’s sparkling formations.

    • 💨 Race through a sandbox erosion relay, using wind and water to discover how the Earth’s surface is shaped, shifted, and worn away.

    • 🌱 Help the Earth give back. Learn the science of composting and add your discoveries to our camp compost bins—where banana peels, bugs, and bacteria do amazing work!


  • Georgia Trees and Flowers. Step into the forest and let your imagination branch out in a week full of leafy adventures, wild creativity, and blooming fun.


    • 🌿 Observe changes in nature as you track plant shadows throughout the day and create your own sketchbook to record seasonal discoveries all year long.

    • 🍃 Become a Leaf Detective and identify leaves from different trees using real clues and your very own field guide.

    • 🌼 Make wildflower seed shakers to help pollinators flourish—then plant them around camp to keep the garden buzzing with life.

    • 🥾 Step into the role of a park ranger in our high-energy Protect the Forest game—defend trees, stop threats, and take charge of your very own nature mission.

    • 🐿️ Hop, jump, and crawl like forest animals in a fast-paced hopscotch game filled with wild movement and laughter.

    • 🍄 Laugh and learn in Fungus Among Us, a silly-smart game where you’ll explore the weird, wonderful, and sometimes gross world of mushrooms and their hidden forest superpowers.

    • 🍊 Paint a fruity masterpiece plate, then dive into the Great Fruit Debate to uncover the science behind what makes a fruit really a fruit—complete with a tasty test!

    • 🌳 Build your own tree from scratch using recycled materials like egg cartons and cardboard tubes, craft swirling tree ring art to tell a tree’s story, and explore even more forest-themed projects!

Cost. On site nature camp costs $380 per week ($30 discount for 3rd or more full week sessions in the same checkout) and field trip camp costs $560 per week ($45 discount for 3rd or more full week sessions in the same checkout). 4-day sessions have a reduced cost of $305 for on site camp and $450 for field trip camp. 3-day on site camp, which will be held the last week of July, costs $230.
